Excellent, percentage works fine with me. Thx a lot!

The app updated automatically, but now the lights are unavailable. I both re-added the lights and the connected controller, but no success. The light remain unavailable (red triangle with explanation mark) with the message “Device is misconfigured, please re-create it”. What can I do?

This was my fault, sorry! The update I pushed to add the NHC Mood action had regression 🙈

I pushed a hotfix just now. Normally all devices should auto-update soon (or you can re-install from the link): [Niko Home Control 2 | Homey](https://homey.app/en-be/app/com.choustoulakis.niko-home-control-2/Niko-Home-Control-2/)

Hi,
I installed the app this morning and after getting the Hobby API key, all devices were added to Homey very easily. I have noticed though that some heaters and plugs were added as Lights. Is there something I need to do differently?
Patrick

Hey @Patrick_Hendrickx , yes this is expected. The ‘light’ device in my app can be one of the following categories: `light` / `socket` (plug) / `switched-fan` / `switched-generic`

I grouped them because on the Niko API, they all do the same action: turn something on/off. I should have named the device “relais”/“relay” but it’s too late for that 😛 . It’s possible to split them into separate devices though , I might change this in the future 🤔

In the meantime, you can select a different icon for the devices if the “light” icon does not fit the device type:

Hi @georgechoustoulakis,
Thank you so much for your answer. You are indeed correct with saying that you can use a different icon to differentiate a light from a different device, but by mapping the devices all as lights, another issue is appearing, and that is that the grouped function of Homey (grouping all lights together) gets difficult to use. If there are Heaters or Plugs attached to Homey and defined as lights, and you leave the room and for instance ask to Homey to then turn out all lights (this then automatically shuts down all heaters and plugs regardless of what is plugged in) and this can be a problem. What if a fridge or a computer (or even Homey) is attached to one of the plugs, then suddenly when you want to switch off all lights, you get also other devices shutting down.

I have seen other integrations (like Fibaro) where a plug gives the possibility do say what is plugged in, and that makes it possible to then differentiate between a light or a different type of device (see screenshot below), would this be an option? And is that difficult to implement, or is this really asking too much?

@Patrick_Hendrickx that is a very valid point, and thank you for providing the other app example.
I’ll look into adding this 👍 (somewhere next week)

@Patrick_Hendrickx I updated the app:

- For lights: no changes
- For devices where Niko API responds with non-light: you can now choose what is connected.
Defaults to “other” on already created devices (see screenshot below)

You can install it from the following test link: [Niko Home Control 2 | Homey](https://homey.app/en-be/app/com.choustoulakis.niko-home-control-2/Niko-Home-Control-2/test/)
If it works as expected, let me know please and I will push it to the stores for everyone 🙏

Is there an option to use this app also the other way around? So that devices in Homey become visible in Niko Home Control 2?

For example so that third party dimmers that are connected to Homey become visible on Niko Touch Panel / Digital Black?
