Trying to wrap my head around it. I thought, okay, let’s use a cloud provider to check if Homey sends a heartbeat. But there is no request getting through.

I’m using [Cronitor](https://cronitor.io/), and it provides a heartbeat URL.
My flow is similar to the one from phusebox.

@Joni-be What do you mean with no reqeust getting trough? like it says you’re offline?
and please send a diagnostic report

</div>

When I create a heartbeat in Cronitor, I get a URL.
Then I change it in the app configuration in Homey.

In Cronitor, I can see the latest Activitys, but none are showing. However, it’s not like Homey is saying " I’m offline "

diagnostic report code is `12c008c3-cebe-44c1-a502-a2dd7b2cb1ad`

@Joni-be Actually the url works:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/c/e/ce55611fe671d2f4750036f8a60cfe5efe8b3148.png)

can you make a typo in your url?(to check if it fails)

But actually network-check checks if it can reach that url. So in this case if the url is incorrect and redirects to only cronitor.link it’s still valid.

</div>

@martijnpoppen I changed the url with a 502 status code.

</div>

@Joni-be Then to me it looks like it works as it should on Homey. But no idea why you don’t see the traffic in cronitor

<div class="post-metadata">

**Author:** ![Joni-be](https://sea1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/user_avatar/community.homey.app/joni-be/32/79831_2.png) [@Joni-be](https://community.homey.app/u/Joni-be)\

</div>

and just to be clear. The 502 will also say that their is still internet connection? Or will it trigger a connection is lost?

@Joni-be it should trigger connection lost.

</div>

@Joni-be Just thinking. When Homey can’t reach the internet, it will never show up in cronitor anyway. Because Homey can’t reach the url 😛

So you will only see succesful calls

</div>

Yes, but my idea was to set a timer so that if Cronitor doesn’t receive a call in 1 minute, it sends an alert.

I’m going to keep it the way you intended it to work. 🙂

Thanks for the help Martijn!

In the app settings there’s a cloudflare website. Do i have to do any changes? Or does it not matter what url is in there?

So my wifi usually goes out at 3:10 am to restart, but your app said it still had internet?? So i don’t really understand how it works?

</div>

Most probably: It polls every x seconds/minutes; When the wifi restarts just quick enough, there will not be a “no internet” detection.

I wonder why you’d have to restart your wifi every night.
Hint: When you have an active cloud backup in place, check if it doesn’t clash with the wifi restart times.

Also no one in my family know why it goes out at 3:10 am but i guess we could figure it out or something? But also good to test the app.

@John_William_Brekke please share your setup with us so we can see what you mean. It’s hard to say why something doesn’t work if we don’t know what doesn’t work
