Yes, this should be fixed in the Awair app.

Are the two other fixes working now?

Maybe you can find out what is going on.

It’s a system error.

Maximum call stack size exceeded

Perhaps the app gets too many messages from your broker resulting in too many parallel processes/calls.

There is not much I can do 🤷‍♂️

New **test version 4.5.5** :

- Parsing onoff capabilities including sub capabilities.
Checks not only for “onoff” capability, but also for onoff.xxx subcapabilities.

Thank to **[db-piper](https://github.com/db-piper)** for the hint/[PR](https://github.com/RonnyWinkler/homey.mqtthub/pull/19)👍

Hi, first of all, thanks for keeping this app going. I only recently found out this one replaced the older 3.x version.

What I’ve found in this 4.x version is that deleted devices are retained. Perhaps I’m overlooking something.

Whilst developing my own app I’m creating/deleting/recreating just one exactly the same device multiple times, the list of devices in MQTT-hub keeps growing, continuously adding this device again and again.

Can I prune this list without removing and reinstalling MQTT-hub?

New **test version 4.6.0** :

- Added **lawn mower** to HA discovery.

Homey lawn mowers will now be exported a lawn\_mower entity via HomeAssistand discovery.

Hi Ronny,

After installing the test version v4.6.0:
It turns out my 2 Trust Smart Home lights now got published as lawn mower instead of light 😜

> ![Screenshot_20260729_222847_Home Assistant](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/b/3/b3052181f990a1feb2a123babacf1b89542e279a.jpeg)

Installing the stable MQTT Hub version solves it; it is shown as ‘light’ again, and ‘lawn\_mower’ became unknown:

If there’s anything you want me to test, just shout.

Wow, that’s not as expected 😅
It should only export a lawn mower if device class is “lawnmower” or capability “mower\_state” exists.
Can you please check the Homey device details (class, capabilities)?

**Edit**
There’s more devices converted to lawn\_mower, @RonnyW .
_The common factor is_ ‘Class: Socket’ Maybe this rings a bell?

New **test version 4.7.0**

- Added a device setting to control the MQTT retain flag for published messages. Disable it when the mapped topics are command topics.

I haven’t actively used MQTT for a while, but there’s a nice new iOS app (in beta) for creating widgets:

> **[Canvases - Build your own widgets in a visual editor](https://canvases.app)**
>
> Canvases gives you the pieces to build custom widgets in a visual editor, then keep them up to date automatically with Shortcuts.

It does not support MQTT directly, but another iOS app does offer data via Shortcuts:

> **[GitHub - philipparndt/mqtt-analyzer](https://github.com/philipparndt/mqtt-analyzer)**
>
> Contribute to philipparndt/mqtt-analyzer development by creating an account on GitHub.

So I want to experiment with this, but somehow I’m getting old/stale data?

For example total gas used reports 8xxx, while it’s 9yyy.

What could be wrong? How to debug/fix this?

([mosquitto\_sub](https://mosquitto.org/man/mosquitto_sub-1.html) on Ubuntu reports the same wrong values; that’s why I think my issue is on the hub side)
