Hi Edward,

I’m using the latest test version of **Marstek Battery Connector** with a **Venus A (firmware 148)** via the local API.

The **Solar Power / Zonne-energie** value is correctly shown on the Homey device itself, but it is **not available in Homey Insights**.

The local Marstek API is definitely providing the value. For example, `ES.GetStatus` returns:

```auto
"pv_power": 154
```

Homey also displays this value live as **Zonne-energie** , so the communication with the Venus A is working correctly.

Would it be possible to make the `measure_power_pv` / Solar Power capability available in **Homey Insights** , so the PV production can be logged and displayed as a graph?

It would also be very useful for Venus A users if the individual PV inputs **P1, P2, P3 and P4** could be exposed separately, if these values are available through the local API.

Thanks for your work on the Marstek Connector!

I hope you can help me. I have a rather complex setup. I have three batteries in total. I use two of them myself for achieving zero energy consumption from the grid. The third battery is controlled by my energy supplier and is therefore completely separate from the other two.

When the battery is being controlled by my energy supplier, I obviously don’t want it to charge or discharge at all. The problem I’m experiencing is that after starting the flow, the Marstek battery stops being controlled after about one minute, even though there is still a connection via the API.

Does anyone have any smart ideas?

Not sure what you mean by, if the energy supplier is controlling the battery, i do not want to charge/discharge it at all.

What is it? The battery controlled by the supplier or your batteries?

When my energy supplier controls my battery, I want the two batteries I use for net-zero energy to not be charged or discharged below a minimum level.

So basically, detect if energy supplier is using battery, if not, switch on own batteries. If so, turn of own batteries?

The detecting if the supplier is useing the bat is the hard part? You have to see that the battery is charging or discharging?

Else, if you can see that, just tel the Marstek to turn of with the passive mode card:

![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/3/f/3f3d448469672b3c23e57c9e2c9951a39e24b974.png)

And when you want to turn it on:

![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/b/4/b4c60afdfa67ae8ed0a3864dc60c6077fbc83c43.png)

If your Marstek setup has a CT, it will try to keep 0 on the meter.

What am i missing, seeing this would be a flow with just a few cards and you have a bunch 😄

Did something change? I see know that cloud again gives constant updates at least for battery monitoring and on the insight in the energy consumption but know it is the api connection that only updates sometimes?

I am experiencing an issue that appeared ever since updating my Marstek battery (Venus E 3.0) to firmware v150. Here is what is working and what is broken:

- **Readings / Polling:** State of charge and real-time data retrieval work perfectly.

- **Stop Command:** Works instantly.

- **Write Commands (Charge/Discharge power):** When a new power setting is sent via the local API (UDP port 30000), the battery freezes and takes several minutes to react.

Looking closer, right before the new setpoint is finally applied, all the battery LEDs light up simultaneously. This looks like a microcontroller crash and a “Watchdog Reset” triggered by the write command. After rebooting, the battery reads the last saved value and finally applies it.

The issue is 100% internal to Marstek’s firmware v150, as everything was working flawlessly before. I have reported this bug to Marstek support so their dev team can release a fix. Amidst many AI-generated responses from them 😤 , I gathered that a new version might be under development.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

Go in the marstek app, select a battery, search for ask support, when you say that api direct power commands does not work and you want back V148, the ai chatbot will do so automatically.

Is it also possible to set charge/discharge power limits via the app?

I would like to implement more fine grained control in home automation.

**Titel:** How to completely remove all Marstek app files, ghost devices, and cached data from Homey Pro?

**Vraag:** Hi everyone,

I need to do a completely fresh installation of the Marstek battery on my Homey Pro, but residual data and settings from previous attempts seem to remain in the system. Even after removing the app and device, I run into issues re-adding it.

How can I completely purge and clear all leftover files, app storage, network sockets, and database/device remnants of the Marstek app from my Homey Pro?

Is there a specific procedure via Developer Tools, SSH, or app storage settings to ensure no ghost entries or cached configurations are left behind?

Thanks in advance for your help!

One of the things I know won’t be removed automatically, are app related Insights data.

But that won’t frustrate app removal and _fresh_ reinstall actions, at least I can’t imagine _how_.

→ However
After app removal, you should power off Homey for several minutes in order to get rid of possible app related RAM data.

Question inham the ct002 arrive today and installed under you cannot recall add it to Marstek or homey as a device. With the p1 I could clearly see the current consumption of the house in real life and per day. Is this also possible with the ct002? And how? Because for the moment I unplugged the HomeWizard but now I don’t see this

You can’t use the ct002 in Homey. Just keep using the p1 in Homey.

Add the CT002 in your marstek app. Change the ct for your batteries to the ct002 and youll see a group appear. Than they act as one battery and you’ll see that the ct002 measures every second. You’ll get near zero on your meter.

Then you can still turn batteries on and off via homey.
