Hi Andi,

I am running 2.0.50 and auto update is on.
It also does not seem to actually toggle the cooling on/off via the app. It does not push to the device.

I have a fixed IP for the device, and i double checked the IP with the MAC.

Hi Ronald,

Thanks for the report

**cooling\_operation\_mode always null** : Found it. Firmware V3.x controllers can return values other than 0 or 1 for the cooling mode register (Luxtronik 2.0 only ever uses 0/1). The app passed that unexpected value directly to Homey’s enum capability, which silently rejected it — leaving the value at null permanently. Fixed in 2.0.51.

**Write doesn’t push to device** : This is separate and I haven’t been able to reproduce it from the code. Could you check the Homey app diagnostics immediately after triggering the _Set cooling mode_ action? I’d like to see whether the write times out, gets a protocol error, or whether the controller acknowledges it but reverts the value on the next read (please submit a **diagnostic report** ).

Hey Andi,

Tested it all operation mode settings on the device now, including the cooling operation mode. .51 fixes the cooling.

My “does not push to device” was a false statement. It does push to the device, but not to the room thermostat i have.

The heatpump does toggle the cooling mode on/off, but it does not feedback to the thermostat that cooling is turned “off”.

But the pump does stop/start itself on command!

One more question:

I bet there is no way to actually set the room temp in Homey, since that is set on the room controller? Cant find anything in the app currently on this option.

Thanks for the quick fix!

Hi Ronald,

Glad 2.0.51 fixed it!

The thermostat feedback is a hardware limitation — the controller doesn’t signal the RBE when toggled via protocol.

Room temperature **reading** works if you have a Luxtronik RBE room display connected (the `measure_temp_room` capability appears automatically). **Setting** it via Homey isn’t possible — the Luxtronik protocol doesn’t expose a writable register for the room setpoint. The closest you can do is adjust the heating curve correction (±5 °C) which shifts the overall heat output.
