Thanks for the feedback 👍

I have slightly less decrease in RAM usage, but it will vary per installation based on number of calendars and how large they are before filtering

It’s crashing immediately for with the SIGABRT error upon first sync. This is my first time installing the app and as soon as I restart the app it immediately crashes upon trying to sync for the first time. Submitted a bug report with ID & log.

In the advanced settings of the IcalCalendar app, you can change the time period for which events are synced. But I don’t know if this will fix the issue.

Thanks @runely for this great app!

Because Kalender and Reminders works tightly together in iOS 26 is it possible to get the reminders showing up in your app to? Just wonder because my reminders is already in the kalender app in iOS..

Reminders showing in calendar in iOS is an iOS integration. As far as i know reminders doesn’t expose a public ics url, so no it’s not possible to have reminders showing up in IcalCalendar

I’ve been having a problem with the “Event starts in nn Minutes/Hours/Days” When trigger card not working at all.

All the other When trigger cards are working fine (Event added, Event changed, Event Starts). And I can sync the calendars fine, without triggering a Synchronisation error. Checking the Event Count on the calendar device card shows the correct number, and the number of events increases on the next sync when I add an event to the calendar.

The only thing I can’t get working is the primary thing I need to use, so I can remind myself to get ready and leave in time to get to an appointment in a couple of hours. Or remind myself 15 hours prior to an all day event (ie 9am the day before) rather than an announcement go off on my smart speakers at midnight.

Please can you assist me with this, I would greatly appreciate your help @runely

I’ve just tried the `Event starts in xx xx` flow card myself by setting it to notify me 1 hour before an event happens, and it works as it should.

Are you sure the flow with the flow card are enabled?

Please enable the log all events as described in the troubleshooting in the first post. Then around 1 minute after the flow should trigger create a diagnostics report and post the report id here

Re-run test with the correct time, diagnostic report: a8962ae0-c279-40ba-b8ff-1ded1160d99e

Now this is most odd. It hasn’t worked for me for weeks now, on anything other than the Event Starts now trigger. But this specifically run “TEST EVENT” just worked for the Event Starts in 2 Hours trigger. And I swear I haven’t made a single change to any of my calendar Flows. The only change I made was to the settings of the app, to enable the debug logging (oh and I manually ran my calendar sync events Flow because I was too impatient to wait 10 minutes for it to sync).

Very strange it worked this time, but I haven’t been able to get it to work for a good few weeks prior. I’ve added some additional SysLog output to some of my Flows, and I’ll monitor it over the coming week for non-test case events. And I guess let you know if I still have a problem or not.

Thank you for your time, my apologies good sir.

Hi Rune @runely

Awesomesource! Nicely done sir 👍🏼

Not a huge fan of the green calendar text, would it be possible to add in the app settings a widget colour picker so you can customise the colour of the text in the widget?

 ![IMG_7706](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/a/7/a79a7d775f07ac817a6095064ac4a3176401e2b1.jpeg)

Can I query what the coloured dot under the event is for please? You already have the slick looking coloured entry bar on the left to identify the calendar.

Also, I have made my widget 775 pixels in height (the max size to fit on my screen underneath the Dashboard header) but if the number of events doesn’t fit in that window, I can’t scroll down to see the rest. It tells me at the top I have 10 appointments, but I can’t see them all. Would it be possible to make it scrollable please.

Would it be possible to also include a All Day flag for all day events, and the Location of the event?

 ![IMG_7707](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/9/9/999e7b87d0f8cfb6b94f3e43af62c901b243bdc6.jpeg)

This widget is a most excellent addition to the app, and just what it was missing. Also love the design and layout of it, thank you! 😊

The green color for the text is the brand color for the **IcalCalendar** app. I’ll consider checking out to add a possibility to change this color

Its the color of the calendar, shown next to the calendar name (when **Show calendar name** is on in the widget settings). But i see now that when turning this off, the dot is still there. I’ll remove the dot entirely.

No. This is a limitation of the Homey dashboard. The dashboard intercepts touch events. This is documented here: [GitHub - runely/calendar-homey: Gives Homey flow cards to trigger on your calendar events · GitHub](https://github.com/runely/calendar-homey#widget-settings)

There is already an **ALL DAY** flag

I’ll add this as a widget setting 👍

I understand the desire for a branding colour, but on the Dashboard display it should be user preference as you are trying to create something for display in your home. (In the app settings menu, where there currently isn’t any green, you can go mad with the branding, but the widget is for display in the users home so customisation would be better.)

> [@runely](#):

I understood that already, and had turned off the calendar name, but the coloured dot remained. Would be extremely grateful if you could remove it when that option is disabled, thank you.

Hmmm… that’s weird, because the old calendar dashboard widget I used allows you to scroll withing the widget that has exactly the same 775 pixel dimensions. Puzzling for sure.

Awesomesauce! Mahoosively appreciated.

Would it also be possible to add a setting to allow the event title to wrap over multiple lines, for longer event titles that currently get truncated with the dread three little dots…

EDIT: An idea for branding (just an idea I had) could you include the green App icon to the right hand top corner, just move the number of appointments left slightly and put a miniature of this next to it? (Then the user can customise the colour of the calendar text, but you still get you app icon for branding on there.)

In my own Homey apps, I also can’t scroll within the widgets. It works partially if you only have a single widget on your dashboard, but it stops working when you add multiple widgets.

Hi Sven @smarthomesven , hope you’re well dude.

Yeah, it’s entirely odd behaviour in the Homey Dashboards. I have two calendar app’s widgets in separate columns/pages next to each other.

One scrolling works flawlessly, but only if you set max pixel height to less than your available screen height (775) in my case. But it has a maximum pixel height allowed of 1000 ( above that Homey throws an error stating max 1000)

The other won’t scroll at all within the widget, but does allow up to 1200 pixels in widget height (200 more) then using your mobile device’s scroll down the screen to see those extra 425 lines of pixels.

It’s frustrating that there’s this lack of consistency with some parts of Homey… when the majority is so well polished.

EDIT: If you could specify a larger value for pixel height, then you would be able to see more just using your mobile devices (phone or tablet) inbuilt screen scroll. But I’m guessing Homey restricts that?

Don’t see why this needs to be a setting. It should always wrap in my opionen. Adding it to the next version

That would take up unnecessary space. As i said, i’ll consider allowing to change the widget color in the widget settings

I don’t see any restrictions in the Homey Widget SDK documentation for a max height. I tested locally here now and setting (just for fun) max height to 120000px works. Then the widget can get very long, depending on the **Days ahead** value specified and how many events you actually how synchronized in.

I’ll increase the max height to a hight enough number for next version
