I think I understand what you are saying. I’ve not seen any actions this night when it should have been charging.

What i would like it to do is:

- Charge with solar and discharge when expensive.
- Or charge cheap and discharge expensive.

The button “force batterij laden” doesn’t change anything. It should force the battery to start charging right?

ok, I checked your log and your right. The battery app your using indeed flips the charging into discharge They imeplemted the standard target\_power feature wrong. So my EMS is telling it to charge but indeed the app your using is considering it as discharge.
This is technically a wrong implemention on that side. The slide of target power should have both positive and negative values
You can see the specs here: [Energy | Homey Apps SDK](https://apps.developer.homey.app/the-basics/devices/energy#controlling-target-power-usage)
I would suggest you inform them about this implementation problem first.

Thank you for looking into it. Much appreciated!

I’m doing this in a flow now:

{{0 - Batterij doel-vermogen}}

So it flips the positive to negative and vise versa.

This works for me BUT the button doesn;t react does this apply to the force batterij laden as well? I see it in the logging it is pressed but no status change or massive charge for the battery starts. The batterij doel-vermogen doesn’t change. It’s probably because there is no Surplus but i would expect the button forces the battery to charge even no surplus OR lowest hourly rate is available?

Your right that button isnt wired up I see now. Ill give it an implementation soon.
Your flow workaround wont work while the EMS is active, so turn that into simulate mode until the vendor app resolves their inverted implementation.

If you get the latest test version its resolved now. 🙂

Great! It’s not totally my lack off experience…

Button works now indeed. Could the same issue reside in the force ev charging button?.

I’ve waited a day but my battery never discharged on its own.. to be honest I feel retarded 🙃

I am confused, your discharge is broken right? Or by the flow? The problem is your hacking my system because your battery app is flawed. This means there are a million things your trying to do my app isn’t designed for. I have very sparse free time, I can’t help everyone figure out how to bypass the problems of their battery manufacturer 😊
The ems works if you:

- have your cheap/expensive hours setup
- battery can be managed
- climate app hooked up
- etc
Your probably running it dry run mode etc. To many things to help with.

I let Claude make a checklist:

> [@\[App\]\[Pro\] Homey EMS (HEMS): Smart EMS](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-homey-ems-hems-smart-ems/156015/6):
>
> Grid Aware EMS — quick start checklist 1. Make sure your battery can be controlled Your battery’s Homey app must accept a power setpoint (target\_power): positive = charge, negative = discharge. In the pairing wizard, pick the battery mode Homey uses to control it (“homey”) and the mode where the battery follows your usage by itself (“anti-feed” / self-consumption) or leave it app controlled (quicker responses often). 2. Link the devices (pairing wizard) Required: P1 / smart meter and solar…
