Installed 1.0.1. Time to test. Thank you

Seems to work now, further testing on the way

Got it working now, was a bit scary putting it into maintenance mode as I had to pretty much reinstall the whole thing (maybe I did something wrong, I went to [install.homevolt.com](http://install.homevolt.com) which was probably my big mistake).

Now it seems to work quite well, have to see how it works long-term.

It did not seem to integrate with the Energy Tab beta though? Would be nice it it did 🙂

It actually does now… (no change on my end) ⚡🥳

Hm, doesn’t seem to work for me. Possibly just a Homey Energy bug then. Haven’t pressed “Exclude from Energy” on any of them.

In general I think you want to exclude the grid and solar sensor from energy (since you have a pulse and inverter connected).

Beyond that, are you running the latest betas of homey fw and app? I’m on homey 12.3.3-rc4 and app 9.1.0 (1680).

Seems to have magically appeared now after waking up this morning, probably just a Homey Energy bug.

Just got a new firmware to my Homevolts and now the batteries are in idle mode (in homey) even though they are charging. Tried to restart the app with no luck.

Hi All,

I just published a 1.1.0 to test. The only change is that the power and Target Power values have been negated (i.e. if they before said -3000 W they will now say 3000 W and vice versa). This is to align with [homey guidelines](https://apps.developer.homey.app/the-basics/devices/energy#home-batteries) and to work better in Homey Energy.

This also aligns behavior with the Tibber app (but now misalignes the behavior with the homevolt web GUI).

Will leave this [in test](https://homey.app/sv-se/app/com.homevolt.local/Homevolt/test/) for a while, but feel free to provide feedback.

Thank you, @hyper!

1.1.0
19 mars 2025
Changed behavior of charge/discharge to align with homey guidelines and work better in homey energy. Power & Target Power values are now negated (-power, -targetPower). No change to discharge/charge states or anything else.

Great work, @hyper !
I really appreciate your efforts so far.
From what I have experienced from Tibber/Homevolt, I expect the development of their own “official” Homey app to take a long, long time.
I would like to be able to shut on and off (or even control the charge/discharge speed, if possible) my batteries from Homey.
Are you planning to include such controls in your app?

Hi,

I actually haven’t. Not because it’s hard, mainly because if you do manual control (ie not Tibber) you won’t be participating in Grid Rewards so it sadly seems a bit pointless.

I can look at adding it for fun though 🙂

Thank you!
I realize that I loose GR when I am on manual control. My idea is to generally use Tibbers control, but when the consumption reaches the third highest hourly consumption of the month, I want to go over to manual standby during the rest of that particular hour. Have made a Homey flow for that.
Why?
My local electricity distribution company charges 21,83 SEK extra for every kWh used during the 3 hours with the highest consumption in the month (daytime, weekdays). On a day with lower prices in the middle of the day, Tibber will charge the batteries on full power, and the hourly consumption might very well reach 11 to 12 kWh. With the controls I suggest, it will end up at maximum 4 to 5 kWh wintertime, much lower in the summer. So I will save around 450 SEK per month wintertime, more in the summer. And I will loose GR only for a few hours each month.

So I look forward to your further development and will then install your app (after conclusion of a ongoing claims case with Tibber).

I’ll publish a version to test shortly.
I haven’t had time to test it properly myself, but maybe you can give it a go and provide feedback?

Notice battery control mode has to be in local to accept and run schedules. When you’re done just move it back to remote mode again.

Can’t find how to start a new question so I reply to this.

My Homey Pro lost contact with my Homevolt battery, probably due to restart and changed IP address. Now it can’t find it again.
The Homevolt app does not find any new units.
Tried several times to restart Homey, remove and install the app again in different combinations without success.
Any suggestions?

Hey,

Can you do this;

1. Restart the Homevolt app
2. Send me a diagnostic report
3. Go to http:///status.json and DM me the response

That should help me narrow it down.

Hey,

From the diag it looks like it’s not discovering a device on your local network. Are you sure the battery is connected to wifi?

As for the url, it should be [http://yourbatteryIPaddress/status.json](http://yourbatteryIPaddress/status.json), not [http://status.json](http://status.json), seems there’s some formatting rules that ruined the response.
