Well it is not the color that is the problem , it is when the color shows.
It shows orange even when the thermostatâs relay is off .
Because color changes ,only by thermostats setpoint/measures temp difference not when actually heating.
my ctm lyng thermostats seems to operate correctly
Picture shows heatit thermostat that have been idle for 4hours , still shows orange color
As I said, we have no control over the color, it is just based on the setpoint compared to the measured temperature.
Our thermostats have hysteresis and a regulation algorithm which makes it so even if the setpoint is higher than the measured temperature, it is not necessarily going to be heating.
Pairing with the Homey Bridge specifically isnât working. Pairing the same device with the Homey Pro is no problem â I got two green dots in no time.
Some of my Z-TRM6 thermostats are not positioned where they should be. I know I can connect an external, wired, sensor, but can I connect a remote temperature sensor (z-wave, zigbee or wifi) and use input from this? I am using Homey Pro, and know to build flows, but a more integrated solution so that the Z-TRM6 is actually using the external temperature sensor and also displaying this temperature in the display?
This problem was solved by restart of Homey Bridge - kept the unplugged for 10mins, then restarted.
Hi!
I have a problem with connecting one of my thermostats to Homey. I have managed in every room in my apartment with one exception. Homey doesnât seem to realise when the thermostat is in the learning/connecting mode. Do you know what may be the reason for that? I can see the "moving dotâ on the thermostat and after a while it just displays âerrâ. Again, itâs just one thermostat with this issue.
Additionally, after a few unsuccessful connection attempts the very same thermostat stopped showing the temperature on the main screen. The screen is fully responsive, I can adjust the temperature, warming works like it should but after around 5 seconds with no âclickingâ the screen goes dark. I would like it to be back to displaying the temperature regardless of the screen being touched or not.
My husband told me he would install everything but I was too stubborn and impatient. Please help me so I donât have to admit he was right :).
Which model thermostat is it and what kind of distance to your Homey?
We usually recommend moving it to within a meter or less if possible, either move the Homey or the device, depending on if it is a battery operated device.
Hi, itâs HeatIt z-trm3. Itâs attached to the wall and the distance is +/- 1,5m. We use basic Homey Bridge. As I mentioned, I managed to connect other thermostats in my apartment, some of them were quite far away.
Hi
Iâm using five Heatit Z-TRM3 thermostats connected to Homey Pro (app version Heatit Controls v4.2.6).
All five devices can be controlled perfectly from Homey â I can set temperatures and trigger them in flows without any issues.
However, two out of the five thermostats have stopped reporting energy consumption (Power / Energy in W and kWh).
When I restart the Heatit app in Homey, those two thermostats start reporting again, but only for a very short time (a few minutes or one reporting cycle). After that, the power/energy values freeze and stop updating completely, while the other three continue to report normally.
Iâve checked Z-Wave connections and parameters (power/energy report intervals etc.), and they look identical across all units. All devices are running on the same Z-TRM3 firmware version.
Summery:
-
Homey Pro + Heatit Controls v4.2.6
-
5 Ă Z-TRM3 thermostats
-
2 units stop reporting energy usage
-
Restarting the app temporarily restores reporting
-
Temperature control and flows work fine
-
Z-Wave connections and parameters identical
Has anyone else seen this behaviour or found a fix/workaround?
Could this be related to the app version or Z-Wave security mode?
were you able to get the devices connected?

I think we would need to gain access to your system so we can remotely diagnose it.
@HeatitControlsAB Have you looked into the issue posted here on July 13th - where the selector in Homey suddenly changes from Off to Power Regulator, even though it is still off?
This behavior happens exactly 12 hours after removing and re-inserting the front panel, and it happens on two different Homeys in two different houses, so I suspect it is a bug.
