@horakmar I’ve pushed a new release to test that is purely a maintenance release. As some of the bus commands that was previously in the project now is pushed to the underlaying library, I need someone with the floor heater unit and curtain unit to run this new version and see that it works as expected before it is released. Can you check it out? ---

The version that was in test over the last 26 days are now live, and a new version is in test. The new test version tries to address the issues raised in [Digital sensors · Issue #72 · alydersen/hdl-smartbus-homey · GitHub](https://github.com/alydersen/hdl-smartbus-homey/issues/72) but as I don’t have a floor heater module I’m not able to test it. I would expect that the units would have to be added again for the digital sensors to appear. ---

Is there any way to control and adjust the temperature on the DLP’s ? I have a friend with HDL Bus and DLP’s controllig heating cables, so want to help him . ---

There is one way if you have a heating-controller module as well. You can set the heating-controller as master, and the DLPs as slaves, then changes this app makes to the heating-controller will automatically reflect on the DLPs. ---

Hi everyone, A couple of releases are ready, and I also want to tell you about a small housekeeping project that came out of this very thread. **Version 1.4.4** added support for the newer floor heating controllers (device types 213–215), and their digital sensor channels (13 and 51–62) now show up as read-only temperature devices. **Version 1.5.0** is a bigger one, with several things that trace directly back to requests in this thread: • Configurable polling interval — the app asks all devices for their status at a regular interval, which was previously hardcoded to 60 seconds. You can now change it in the app settings (10–600 seconds, default 60). A shorter interval makes Homey notice changes faster, but puts more traffic on the bus. Requires an app restart to take effect. • Gentler status requests — those status requests used to go out as one burst on the bus at every interval. They are now spread evenly across the interval instead. • Energy tab support for relays and dimmers — HDL channels don’t measure power, but the app now declares approximated power usage for them. Every relay and dimmer channel gets the standard “Power usage when on/off” settings in Homey — fill in the Watt value of the load and Homey calculates consumption based on the on-time (scaled by dim level for dimmers). Note that Homey’s design excludes approximated devices from the “Top Consumers” list, but they count towards the total consumption. • HDL bus address in device settings — every device now shows its bus address (subnet.device.channel) as a read-only label in the device settings, so you can tell devices apart even after renaming them. • Dry contact fix — dry contact status updates (0x6F00) were not being processed in some setups; this is fixed. There were also some internal cleanups that don’t change behaviour but make the code easier to maintain. **A word about the staggered requests — could this help with instability?** Over the years, several of you have reported devices showing the wrong state in Homey, slow responses from motion sensors, or multisensors that seem to miss updates (I’m looking at you, @Fredrik_Meyer-Lampe 🙂). We’ve often suspected busy HDL buses as part of the explanation: when a device gets a flood of status requests at once — while also handling its own logic, UV switches and broadcast traffic — it may simply drop or ignore some of them. A busy multisensor is known to disregard update requests entirely. With the requests now spread out instead of arriving in one burst, my hope is that some of these instabilities improve. I can’t verify that on my own (quiet) bus, so this is where you come in: 👉 The new version is available as a TEST version here: [HDL SmartBus | Homey](https://homey.app/no-no/app/com.github.alydersen.hdl-smartbus-homey/HDL-SmartBus/test/) It will run on the test level for a week or so before I send it to Athom for review. So if you have had state-sync issues, motion sensors that are sometimes slow, or multisensors that seem to skip updates — please install the test version and report back here whether things look better, worse, or the same. Bonus points if you also experiment with the polling interval setting. **The Wish List** This thread has grown to 330+ posts over six years, and a lot of feature requests are scattered through it. Some well-known wishes — like deeper DLP panel integration — are recorded there, along with the current capability and workarounds. The list is dated, so it can be refreshed as the thread moves on. The configurable polling interval and the energy support are the first two items from the list that are now done. If you want to see something happen on the list, this is a good time to remind us it exists — and as always: this is an open source project, so if you have the hardware and the coding skills (or AI assistance 🙂), several items on the list are waiting for a contributor. Hi @Andreas_Pedersen, I’m going through older requests in this thread and setting up a wishlist for the app — your question about magnetic contacts on windows and doors (January) is one of the items. The short version: today the app shows Universal Switches as buttons you can press, which is a poor fit for a contact sensor. I’d like to fix that, but I need a bit more info first: 1. Which HDL module are the magnetic contacts physically wired to (e.g. a dry contact module, multisensor inputs, something else)? 2. Was routing them through UV switches a deliberate choice, or just how the system was set up? Depending on the answer, the app might already read your contacts read-only today, or I’ll add a new device type for it. Thanks! ---

thank you for your massive contribution @AndreasL . The HDL has been really good and stable over a long periode now, which is something I really honor you for, but I have as you refer to sometimes problems with slow responses. I have now installed the test version 1.5 and will test it. After an hour I think I can confirm it is faster, at least with the updates on the DLP temperatures (in Homey) which has often been hours between updates. Will monitor the motion sensors. Not changed the polling interval yet. Great work, and really good with the wish list which makes the overview much better. Also seeing some really good new features there 🙂 ---

Thanks, @AndreasL, for the continued development and improvements to the robustness of the app! The new polling mechanism is particularly interesting. I’ve started testing 1.5.0 on my rather extensive HDL installation and will report back with observations during the coming week. I’m also planning to incorporate your latest changes into my ongoing work, where I’ve been developing two extensions with AI assistance: - **DLP Heater:** Thermostat control, including operating modes and individual temperature setpoints. - **Panel driver:** Extended support for “button commands”, allowing panel and DLP buttons to be triggered directly from Homey Flows. Both are working in testing, and I’m looking forward to bringing them in line with your latest improvements. Thanks again for your excellent work! ---

@Fredrik_Meyer-Lampe If you go into the apps settings, you can adjust the refresh rate to e.g. 30 seconds (empty means 60) and see if that improves you sensor readings. You’ll need to restart the app to make use the new refresh. ---
