# \[APP\]\[Pro\] GoodWe XS - Local inverter monitoring for Homey Pro

Hi all,

I have developed a Homey app for **GoodWe XS inverters** and I am looking for a few beta testers before submitting the app for wider release.

The app communicates directly with the inverter using **Modbus TCP over the local network** via the **GoodWe WiFi/LAN Kit 2.0**. No cloud connection is required.

## **Supported hardware**

Currently tested with:

- GoodWe 2500-XS
- GoodWe XS series
- GoodWe WiFi/LAN Kit 2.0

## **What the app currently supports**

- Live power production monitoring
- Daily and total energy yield
- Grid voltage, current and frequency
- Temperature
- Operating hours
- Efficiency
- Fault information
- Inverter identification:
  - Model
  - Serial number
  - Firmware version

- Connection monitoring

The app also detects communication loss and restores the device when the connection returns.

## **What I am looking for**

I am looking for users who have:

✅ Homey Pro  
✅ GoodWe XS inverter  
✅ WiFi/LAN Kit 2.0 installed  
✅ Local network connection between Homey and inverter

Especially useful would be testers with different network setups to verify stability.

## **Beta testing**

The main things I would like feedback on:

- Pairing experience
- Stability during normal operation
- Correct displayed values
- Connection recovery after network interruption
- Any missing information or useful improvements

## **Known limitations**

Currently:

- Only XS series is supported
- Battery systems are not supported
- Other GoodWe models are not validated yet
- No automatic inverter discovery
