# ⚠ **App status — please read before posting an issue** ⚠ _Last updated: 23 October 2026_ > **In short:** The new Eufy app for Homey, built on the Eufy Mega platform, is almost ready for a **beta release** 🎉. This app (Eufy Security) stays in **maintenance mode** until then. Notifications, event images and API calls are still unreliable here, and that’s caused by Eufy’s migration, not something I can fully fix in this app. Progress can be followed here: [Eufy Mega Discord](http://discord.gg/invite/rj5aqPxFYS) * * * **🚀 New app: almost at beta** Together with other Eufy developers from the Homebridge and Home Assistant communities, I’ve been building a new Eufy Mega SDK, and the new Homey app built on it is nearly ready for its first beta. What to expect: - **One Eufy app** for Homey, which will eventually replace both Eufy Security and Eufy Clean. - It’s built on Eufy’s new Mega platform, so it doesn’t depend on the old APIs that Eufy is switching off. - **Migration will be needed.** Devices will have to be re-added in the new app, so your flows will need updating too. I’ll share a migration guide when the beta goes live. - It’s a **beta** , so expect rough edges. Please only join if you’re OK with testing and reporting issues. I’ll post here as soon as the beta is available, with a link and instructions. No need to ask for an invite in the meantime 🙏 * * * **🔧 Current app: maintenance mode** Eufy is moving everything to the Mega platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on. Until the new app takes over: - I’ll keep the **bare minimum working** as long as the old APIs stay alive. - No new features will be added here. - Fixes for issues caused by Eufy’s migration are mostly out of my hands. **🔔 Notifications: hit or miss** The app runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable whichever side your account is on. Reliable notifications will come with the new app. **Crashes** Some users see app crashes. These happen when the Eufy API goes into a loop that this app can’t handle, and we don’t have control over what Eufy is doing there. **Failing login** Your account may already be on Eufy’s new V6 API, which this app doesn’t support. The migration happens **entirely on Eufy’s side** : we can’t trigger it, it isn’t tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when your account moves. If your app stopped working, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet being active.
