[APP][Pro] Enhanced Device Widgets. Live 1.1.3, Test 1.1.3

I will look into it. It depends on where they are being removed. If it’s in my code I can fix it, but if it’s the Flow card then there’s not much I can do.

Great, thanks! The line feeds in the same string are there if I send it as a push notification, so I hope it’s something you can solve.

New test version in the store with support for multi-line status text.

New test version in the store that fixes the issue.

I have now cached the changes and the widget will fetch the data from the cache when it refreshes.
Unfortunately, the only way I can find to force the widget to refresh is to force close the Homey app and start it again.
I have reported the issue to Athom, so hopefully they will find a solution to refresh widgets when they come back on screen.

playing around with the app, but i guess i missed something… what is, where i found the device id?

Which device id?
Are you referring to the Enhanced Device widget or the Status Widget?

Ow sorry wasnt clear about that. I mean the the status widget.

Ah, so in the widget settings you give it an id of your choice and then you use the same id in the Flow card. Hope that makes sense.

Hmmz sometimes things are so easy :joy::joy:

Thksss

That was quick, great job! Thanks .

Would it be possible to add some control character to force new line in the status widget?
Like ‘\n’?
The widget is amazing by the way! Great work.

I will look into that, but it might be possible to add html codes, such as
for that.
I haven’t tried it, but tha app just sets the inner text of the html control, so it might work.

Edit: I have just tried and it works. So I put in this text to the Flow card:
This is information you know<br><br><u>Another</u> line?
And it formatted as expected.

Cool, great

It seems that the status widget stops updating after the tablet screen has been of for a while, and turned on again.
The widget updated about an hour ago, I went for a walkabout, and when I came home the screen was off. I turned it on, and the status widget showed old data. Sending new to it did not update.
Other widgets are updating.

There is a known issue with widgets not updating when they are not visible, but I’m not sure why it won’t update when it’s on display.

If you kill the Homey mobile app and launch it again, do you then see the updates again?

Athom are aware of the update issue and will hopefully come up with a solution.

If I restart the Enhanced device widgets app (in Homey settings) it starts update again. No need to restart the Homey mobile app.

But I was wondering if it’s the same issue that I have reported to Athom, so restarting the Homey mobile app would diagnose that.

Ah, ok.
So, only restart the mobile app then. Will try.

I have installed a keep-screen-on-app in the tablet, installed it after I repported the issue with no updating after screen has been off.
So, the screen has been on for a while. When I update the widget it doesn’t show the update.
And the screen has not been off since update worked an hour ago.
