Something like this should get you on the way?

> When using a thermostat, it always shows in the dashboard overview the set temperature, not the actual temperature. Any idea how to rather show the current temperature?

- What’s important: Device class should NOT be set to thermostat (the firmware then shows the set temp (target temp) by itself, and the status indicator is not editable.
So make sure it shows “Other (Default)” or “Sensor”

- Status indicator field settings (and the result when all is set):

- When you also want the device to look like a thermostat:

- Mobile tile status indicator showing the room temperature:

This is a way to achieve it, only the tile does not reflect On or Off state any longer…maybe @Arie_J_Godschalk knows a better way?
