I have a problem with a gauge. The flow card used to look like this when it worked.

 ![Screenshot 2026-06-20 at 10.43.21 pm](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/7/3/734d6c119b0ad257b0ef0e60bc3d52e88ef4011a.png)

Now it looks like this. The variable exists as a Range data item in the Datavista App but I can’t see it as a Tag value within the flow card. Could you point me in the right direction to fix this.

Where is #Temp Range coming from? Seems it was unavailable at the moment of testing. Is it a Better logic variable? My experience with that App is that it sometimes starts without all its variables (After a homey Reboot): Restarting the BetterLogic app solves the problem.

Does it work if you enter the name of the DataVista range hard coded (so instead of a variable)?

Finally got it to work. I had to swap where TempRange and current Temp were being used in the widget. I have no idea how they could have changed. I haven’t had to change my dashboard for ages.

Homey flowcards don’t edit themselves AFAIK 😉
(or did you connect it to something AI related?)

I found out, each time something “impossible” occurred, only I turned out to be the one “temporary” changing stuff, and after that completely forget about it 😜
Maybe something similar happened…

Maybe a simple question, but I am on version 1.3.5. In the changelog I see newer versions. I have auto update on, but my version remains 1.3.5. Am I missing something?

Hi! The changelog shows [test versions](https://homey.app/a/nl.erikvl87.datavista/test/) as well. I am planning to release these versions to the live channel soon. I’ll also look into labeling test versions in the changelog page to make that more clear.

Hi Erik,

I noticed that the LineChart displays the time axis in AM/PM format, but my Homey is set to 24-hour format. Is there a setting for the time axis format, or is this a bug?

With me the widgets all have from the start the 24hour format. Could it be a homey setting forcing am/pm?
Switched to english as system language and 2 of 4 widgets now use am/pm

</div>

OK, I’m currently using English.

But that’s not a Homey settings issue, because if you look at the top widget, the time is displayed correctly there. So it must have something to do with the app.

Hi Erik, would it be possible to add an option to select/deselect the gradually changing segment colors in the advanced gauge, changing into ‘abrupt’ changing colors? So, in fact, I need somewhat like this, where the segments range will be changed by flows.

Thanks!

Hi Casper! I think that could be a nice addition to widget setting, and shouldn’t be to hard for me to add. I’ll put it on the backlog and will try to add it soon.

I did just had a new addition to the family 🚼 which is obviously my first priority, so my appologies beforehand for not being able to respond (or update the app) as quickly as I’d like to.

I hope all is well with your little-one!

I don’t know if this is a bug. I have a line diagram, with 3 lines configured. If I open the dashboard, the graph is empty, no lines. If I click the graph once, the data becomes visible and works perfectly fine afterwards.

🚀 **DataVista v1.9.0** is now available in the [test channel](https://homey.app/a/nl.erikvl87.datavista/test/)!

This version includes:

- 🎨 A new **Gradual color transitions** setting for the **gauge widgets**. It’s enabled by default, so existing gauges keep their gradient. Disable it to show solid color bands instead. @CasperV [Docs](https://datavista.erikvl87.nl/docs/widgets/gauge)

### What’s new since v1.3.5

I’ve requested 1.9.0 to be published to the live channel. The live channel is still on v1.3.5, so as soon as Athom approves it, all of the changes below will also reach everyone using the live version:

- ⏱ **Countdown widget** (1.8.0): a live countdown to a target you set from a flow, with nine visual styles. [Docs](https://datavista.erikvl87.nl/docs/widgets/countdown)
- 🔬 **Scatter plot widget** (1.7.0): plots two Homey insights against each other, with an optional trendline. [Docs](https://datavista.erikvl87.nl/docs/widgets/scatter-plot)
- 📈 **Line chart widget** (1.6.0): Y-axis minimum and maximum settings.
- 🧹 **Bulk clean-up** (1.5.0): remove outdated or unused data from the app settings page.
- 🧠 **Memory and performance** (1.4.0): lower memory usage and better line chart performance.

Full changelog: [Changelog | DataVista](https://datavista.erikvl87.nl/docs/changelog)

Feedback is appreciated!

Hi @CasperV, thanks for asking. Everything’s going well at home; I just need to get used to the lack of sleep again 🤣

Can you share which version you’re using and on which device you’re seeing this behavior? And if you have another device lying around, could you check whether the same thing happens there?
