Did you send an app diagnostics report right after trying to pair? Or did you already have a car paired before?

So, did you send an app diagnostics report after trying to pair?

Race issue seems fixed, thanks!

I do notice that after returning home and force refresh car status 15min later, my location is still shown at work in widget and app. A second refresh sets it back to my home location. it feels like a bug in my Kona or their API, but maybe you can check the log to be sure? 74c85b87-c546-4fac-9d3a-a6f2b5533486

New version 2.6.3 has been released to stable.

- Improved rate limit and messaging during pair
- Improved non-ccs2 position updates

@Qx5 Please test if this version solves your location issue. If not, please send an app diagnostics report as soon as possible after a refresh still gives the old location.

Hello @RM_de_Gruijter I have maybe found a widget bug? Heating of car started (ac/defrost when I tried doing a refresh from the widget on my android tablet to see charge %.

I only pressed to update symbol one time. Might this be a bug? Or is this the android homey mobile thing Athom needs to fix?

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate some help setting up two flows for the remote climate control of my Ioniq 5.

Current setup: My Ioniq 5 is connected to Homey Pro. I can read data and send commands, such as turning on the climate control.

I have also already created virtual buttons to trigger the flows.

These are available via Alexa (as scenes) and can be activated using voice control.

Goal: I want to create a flow that, when triggered, performs the following actions: A) turns on the climate control for 10 minutes, activates defrosting, and sets the target temperature to 25°C; and B) turns on the climate control for 10 minutes and sets the target temperature to 18°C.

Problem: I’ve tried every possible combination of cards, but the flows aren’t working. The climate control turns on reliably, but the target temperatures aren’t being applied.

Does anyone have a working flow?

Best regards and many thanks in advance.

Not sure if I understand.
Open as physicaly open/unlock the charging door, or enable charging?

I tried “close charge port” and nothing seems to happen.

My problem I try to solve is that if I use “Turn charging off” it also disconnects/deauthenticates from my charger.
When I later trigger “Turn charging on” it does not charge du to not authenticated anymore.

I would like to be able to start/stop the charging according to electric price level.

I did test the location issue a few times. It’s on and off.

It seems like:

- works fine when initiating update with button in device card
- Location lags one cycle when using flow card for updating.

Is this possible or do both use the same logic in the background? I forgot to generate a report last time it failed. Will do this next time it happens.

Another request: Would it be possible to open the car’s device card when pressing the car picture in the widget? Like many of the native widgets do? Or is this functionality not available for non-native widgets?

Hi @RM_de_Gruijter,

I am trying to pair a Kia USA account with the official Kia app for Homey. Kia requires OTP verification when the account signs in from a new device, but the Homey pairing process cannot display or complete that OTP step.

The pairing error states:

“Pairing failed: This Kia US account requires OTP verification on first login from a new device. OTP-pairing is not yet supported by this Homey app.”

I documented the technical details here:

The repository appears to contain the underlying OTP methods, but the current maintenance documentation still says that OTP is not wired into the pairing interface for Kia USA.

I have an active Kia USA account and a 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid that consistently reproduces the problem. I would be happy to test a development version and provide a diagnostic report, sanitized logs, or screenshots.

Is connecting the existing OTP process to the Homey pairing interface something you plan to address? If so, would testing with my Kia USA account help?

Thank you.

I will have another look at it, but don’t think it is possible to do the OTA from the Homey pairing view.

Thank you for taking another look at it.

Homey’s developer documentation appears to support custom multi-step pairing views, including navigating to an additional view and exchanging data with the active pairing session. In principle, that could allow the Kia authentication challenge to be retained while the user enters the OTP on a second screen.

I understand that the Kia USA authentication sequence may involve additional complications beyond the pairing interface. I have a Kia USA account that consistently triggers the OTP requirement, and I would be happy to test a development version and provide diagnostic reports, screenshots, or sanitized response details.

If it would help, I am also willing to assist with testing a proposed implementation or pull request. Please let me know what information would be most useful.

I tried using the Then-card “Stop charging”; charging stopped, but restarted again right after.
I was expecting it to stay off until I called the “Start charging”-card.

Anyone experiences the same?
