Both alarms replace the old generic alarm: - **Problem alarm** (`alarm_problem`): this turns on when the inverter itself reports a fault state in its status. The battery (Noah) also turns it on when a battery pack reports a fault. - **Connection alarm** (`alarm_connectivity`): this turns on when the inverter has sent no new data to the Growatt cloud for more than 24 hours. A normal night doesn’t trigger it. It turns off again as soon as fresh data comes in. You can use them in flows with the standard Homey alarm cards, e.g. “Problem alarm turned on” or “Connection alarm turned on”, and then send yourself a notification. ---

Great news! I will be working on drivers for direct modbus connection. Only systems where the official ShineWiLan-X2 datalogger is installed will be supported. ### TEST SITES NEEDED If you: - have a Growatt installation with a ShineWiLan-X2 datalogger - have a Homey Pro with port forwarding enabled and configured in your router - are willing to temporarily share your Homey with me (invite me as admin) You can be of great importance and help so I can develop the Modbus interface! **I will not be able to develop and test it without your help**. Please give me a DM. ---

The APX battery itself isn’t read directly. The ShineWiLan-X2 talks to the inverter, and the battery data (SoC, charge/discharge power, voltage, energy totals) is read from the inverter’s registers. The Modbus battery driver supports this for MIN TL-XH, MOD TL3-XH and SPH inverters. Which inverter do you have? ---
