most likely yes. I dont know how to solve this, since the 9.4 is apparently what the api reported last.

By default it should be 100% when not limiting anything. I wonder if the 1% is actually 1 (=100%). The api is so inconsistent that it would not surprise me that for your inverter it reports 1, and other inverters report 100…

I dont know which inverters lack the option. There is no documentation and also no clue from the api.

I think the AC power limit is a display issue:
This flow:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/7/2/7280d4575f1782ce5f5fd56cf71660ddfc63cbb9.png)

results in this value:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/0/d/0dd2a9055a0af7bcc31d59f07d8c55cb1861831e.jpeg)

I’m also curious about the actual values for Energy and Energy today as they don’t match the actual data in the Shine app and returned from the inverter:

Shine app:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/f/8/f85412f94f2ae5106481922c3d450ce5de8fb82b.png)
E\_Today and E\_Total

Actual data from the inverter:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/7/a/7ac4ff2bb226ad2174e9b11202e5a8f7215ab576.png)
todayEnergy and totalEnergy

Edit:
The value actually written to the inverter for AC Power Limit is correct (In my previous screenshot I already reverted it back to 100%):

Any chance the API returns the mode state? If in standby then production should be 0W. Though what if there is battery.

The Homey app now takes the PV power/energy from the DC side. That is the only way to be sure the data is for PV generation. When taking the data from the AC side, it will be a bit lower due to inverter losses. But also I cannot guarantee anymore that it represents the PV yield, since batteries also deliver/take power from the AC side.

need to check if I can find something that is present for all the inverter types.

On the other hand: is there no user setting to disable standby / keep reoprting 24/7 ?

Ah, ok that’s too bad, I can’t read the total from the PV side so I can’t compare, but when I compare the PV power and Output Power I see a difference, haven’t actually calculated the loss/efficiency but looking at the numbers it seems to be in line when comparing the totals between the shine app and your app.

Many thanks for this update!
During the day the app gave nice results, except the **AC power limit** reported always **- minus sign**
I saw the set limit was working though not reported back.
I read the remark about the difference between reported power from this app and the Growatt/sunshine website. and that the difference is due to reporting the DC values rather than the AC values.
Since I have only the inverter I would prefer the AC power to be reported. (but understand trade-offs have to made)

Can you my try setting it once to 100% via the flow card? Is it reporting back after that?

I am rethinking about if/how to do this.

I did that during the day:
I did set it to 10% then back to 100%. During the 10% setting the output power was reduced. (to 400W = 10%)
The **AC power limit** did not change: remained showing the - (minus) sign and still is.

Updating the API data also takes varying amounts of time throughout the day, between 5 and 15 minutes.

Maybe data for both DC (solarpanels) and AC power (fed into the mains) can be made available so we (users) can chose what we use.

I dont oversee what this means for the energy tab.

Hi

I removed my growatt inverter and Uninstalled the app. But when I try to add the inverter again, I just get the message no new device found.

I can login to shinephone with my same cred and Se data from the inverter

Any ideas?

Hi, great app. I have installed the grohome manager x as a meter but not all data is coming through. thing like frequency and voltance are working but power (W) and ussage (kwh) aren’t visible.
