Maybe it has nothing to do with the Homey integration, but my blink account got deactivated by blink due to a „Suspicious device running an unauthorized application or integration“.

Homey is the only integration that I use…

Perhaps your polling interval is too short.

I use 3min polling, 15sec cloud and 30sec local motion check without issues.

_My polling interval has been unchanged for a long time. Blink support told me the account was disabled because of “pinging the Blink server back to back within seconds apart”. Could an outdated authentication or a failed login loop after the recent changes also cause repeated requests, or do you think this points specifically to the polling settings?_

_Also just realized: The Homey Blink app updated automatically to version 2.1.5 two days ago. As far as I can tell, that’s exactly when all my Blink issues started and shortly afterwards my Blink account was deactivated…_

The app update solves issues caused by an Api change on Blink side. Are your cameeas/account accessible in Homey? If not, try repair of account device (re-login). Peehaps that fixes an auth issue.

Hi,
I can no longer connect to my homey SHS blink account : “the login data is invalid” and doesn’t ask for the pin code.
It still works on both my Homey 2023
I checked that I provide the correct id/pwd than in the blink app

Hi, based on the log I assume Blink did not respond with an http error os something like that. At least the cookie for oAuth was not present.
I tried on my SHS but it’s working there. I can login with my account and can add the account device.

It the error still present for you?

Hi, yes the error is still there.
I just deleted the app and all the devices, restarted SHS/Synology, reinstalled the app and tried to login : “the login data is invalid”

@RonnyW Can we have a flow to obtain an image or a video directly as an object in Homey instead of saving them to an FTP or SSH? Because I would like to use those items to immediately being processed by Telegram or Gemini, but the flow with FTP or SSH is so long that it discourage me from doing that…

Just use the flow tokens, from motion trigger or from the camera device itself.

From flow trigger, you get the preview ( only for Blink cloud).

From device it will request a new snapshot directly.

I have two Blink core sync modules. When I load and configure this add on into Homey, it causes one of my sync modules to flap, offline to online, every few minutes. Uninstall app, symptoms go away. Reinstall app, symptoms return. I have 4 outdoor 4 cameras and a video doorbell connected to this sync module but the problem occurs after configuring my Blink account and adding the sync module before adding any cameras to Homey. The other sync module is not affected and only has one video doorbell connected. Both sync modules report same firmware version 21.1.19. Both have been rebooted many times. The sync modules are on the same wifi network and same subnet which is a different subnet from where my Homey SHS resides.

You created a diagnostics report for Athom, not for the app. But it’s not neccessary to create a new one.

If local storage is activated in device settings (account device), the app polls the SyncModule to check if there are new videos (to know if motion happened). And the sync module can handle only one connection. So if the app is using the module, it can’t be used from Blink app. And if a camera is using the module (writing video etc.), the app can’tcheck for new videos.

That’s by design 🤷‍♂️ …and checking local video storage is the only way to check for motion alerts. Blink only sends push messages to Blink mobile app and there is no possibility to cehck this via API.

So if the effect you saw bothers you, you can deactivate motion check in account device settings.

Thank you for the quick reply. I just found the advanced settings in the Blink account device and turned down the intervals from 15 seconds to 30 seconds and disabled motion alert checking for local storage - the core sync modules have no local storage any way. This seems to have helped. I don’t use homey to alert on motion from cameras at this time.
