@Dennis_H74

Even when your phone lies still, Apple sends slightly different coordinates each time (GPS isn’t exact, it has an accuracy radius). So the distance gets recalculated and can change a little without you moving.

In Homey, “last updated” only changes when the value itself changes. KM and meter are rounded differently, so one can change while the other stays the same, and then you see “5 min ago” next to “1 hour ago.”

Your actual issue (no new location at all) is different: there iCloud doesn’t send new coordinates, so nothing can be recalculated.

@martijnpoppen

Yes i totally agree when its like you describe. But you describe it the other way around like i mean

I can imagine that when just 1 meter is updated that 0.001 km is not bevause of the low value. But what i showed is the other way around

Check below again … if a km is updated i asume that is a large value like 0.01 km and 0.01 miles …. But that is 10 meters st a minimum …

but its not updating the meters as the screenshot showed. It stays at 9 meters despite the value of move is bigger ( km and miles are updated )

Again i understand it the other way around

Absolute best case scenario, while outside with absolutely no physical obstructions, and no major sources of radio frequency interference your consumer grade GPS is only accurate to within about 5 meters… otherwise, accuracy could drop to as much as within 100 meters.

I’m not sure what you would be demanding greater accuracy for… unless you’re looking to target missiles or something crazy 🤣

I am getting each 2 hours the following email from apple: “_Your Apple Account was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser.”_

Getting crazy, of this. Is there a way to disable this? I can oc filter this in my email, but if there is a really security issue someone or something is logging in, the I want to know this, so do not want to do that.

i did test it, but i still get emails about a login by webbrowser, an this with every update cycle , currently every 15 mins. Maybe apple block the icloud account if it finds too many of these logins.

also i am puzzeled about the battery status updates, seems stuck.

15 mins. actually, when i disable the app, wait 5 sec, then enable it again, and then execute the card ‘update device info’, i get the current data for the device. however in the end this worked one time..

thanks for the effort so far.

@Michel_van_Lier strange, 1.8.0 was the version where it was fixed. And I didn’t hear any issues anymore with the login emails.

Really strange. Can you send a report again? Will try to check, but really hard to figure out why this goes wrong

What I found:

If there are too many attempts to login at an Apple Account, Apple wil block the account.

There after I got each hour an email from Apple: Your Apple account is used to login in Icloud.

It looks like Find Me trys to login each hour, without succes because my account is blocked. (No message ever from Apple that account is blocked).

At the end I tried to login in [www.icloud.com](http://www.icloud.com). Logging in was refused by Apple. So I found out that I was blocked.

Send a request to change my password.

After pasword change, I had to assure Apple my logins were legal. Don’t know what.

Because blocking was over, Find Me worked correct, without freqwent emails from Apple that somebody tried to login in my Apple account.

So if you try a new version of Find Me, check wether you can login on [icloud.com](http://icloud.com) if the new version also does not work - because your account may be blocked by Apple.

I stoped using Find Me, because I don’t like the logins. Sorry martijnpoppen.
