Nice!!! have them in home, and was already able to connect them through Matter, but good to see there is now a full app!

Thanks

tried installing the first item, however it asks for the pairing code:

on the device is the QR code, but not the code itself. So no way to continue…

Unfortunately they don’t print a code on their devices, you can add it using the camera using the Homey Mobile App.

in the mobile you have the option to add via homey or via mobile… also a bit confusing, and the via homey does not work (device can’t be found). via mobile this one also does not work, previous one did, might also be a device issue

This is what already worked (adding through matter through mobile, wihout the moduel app), so what does the app then add?

How this works is that this option determines which device is responsible for the Matter commissioning process.

If you choose Homey Pro, Homey will use the Bluetooth connection on Homey Pro to discover, set up, and onboard the Matter device. If you choose iOS or Android, the Bluetooth connection on your phone will be used instead.

Because Bluetooth range can play a role during commissioning, the location of the Matter device in relation to either your phone or Homey Pro can affect whether the device can be discovered successfully. If one option is unable to find the device, it can therefore be worth trying the other.

For Matter devices, these apps add custom device icons and pairing instructions to improve device discoverability and the overall user experience on the platform.

This is also one of the requirements we ask brands to meet in order to become an official Works with Homey partner, as is the case with Moduel.

Thanks Doekse for clarifying. helpful. Maybe good to add the range distinction in the app pairing process, as that was really unclear for me which one to take.

Looks like my second device is faulty (long pressed the button, flashed red, but never stopped), opened a ticket at Module directly.
