I’ve been considering the feasibility of creating a binding for emhass, an energy management system. However, I’ve only found documentation on adapting **current** sensor values. Can the system also accommodate future values, such as forecasts?

Could you provide insight into how this binding operates? For instance, in this example: [Frank Energie App voor Homey | Homey](https://homey.app/nl-be/app/nl.frank-energie/Frank-Energie/). Does it maintain an internal file where each flow checks its database for the current value?

It was a more general question, using this app as an example.

Sorry, I probably misinterpreted it.

Every App can be different, but as general almost every App has Devices with Capabilities and current (sensor) data.
fe for Power By The hour it is described pretty good here: [[APP][Pro] Power by the Hour: Insights per hour, day, month and year](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-power-by-the-hour-insights-per-hour-day-month-and-year/20535)

Other Apps can have other runtime info but the App from Frank is closed, you have to ask the Developer or probably test it yourself.

At “Frank Energy” they do not recognise a partnershipmwith homey.
So the “official” mark with the app does not mean they have any relation to “Frank Energy”

Hi,

I discovered some program faults in the Frank Energy app and contacted them via frank-energie.homey@webarray.nl serveral times but don’t get any response ……
The app is last updated in November 2023, so more then a year ago!

The cards “Stroomprijs is lager” and “Stroomprijs is hoger” seems to be opposite working and when you choose reverse the text “hoger” and “Lager” does not change.

Also it is not possible to test a flow when a Frank energy card is added, the passing marks you normally see does not work.

I can’t find good example flows or can’t find any howtos on the web or on YouTube

It looks like I am the only user! ☺ help!

Who knows more about Frank Energy app and flows?

Thanks,

Regards,

Allard

I also contacted the developer twice (different reason) no response at all…

I am using the “[power by the hour](https://homey.app/en-nl/app/com.gruijter.powerhour/Power-by-the-Hour/)” app now.
It provides many more options…

Hmm I tried to install power by the hour, via the app, that is not working.
I use a Homey Pro 2019

Just installed PBTH via the webversion, that will work.

Thanks

You 1st need to “tell”z the app what energy devices you want to control.
You do this by creating devices

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/b/c/bce5bea92e6b6189167b530161733a2928650233.png)

The devices show in the flowcards

Its explained in the [forum thread](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-power-by-the-hour-insights-per-hour-day-month-and-year/20535) of the app

Did anyone find a way to update “Frank energy” settings via homey?

This app does not provvide it (and the creator nor Frank energy respond)

I want to automate the smart settings:

- WHEN car comes home \> set “startniveau battery” to the car battery level (that is known in homey) AND set “vertrektijd” based on agenda.
- WHEN solar overproduction \> set “type laden” to “boost” so I can charge on solar power using [\* this flow](https://community.homey.app/t/app-amina-power-up-your-smart-home-with-amina-s/114193/6). (If I keep it on “slim laden” Frank energy will keep interuption the charging because of epex prices)
