[APP] F1 Tracker Pro – Automate every F1 session with Advanced Flows & dashboard widgets

I was looking for an F1 app for Homey, found 1 but it didnt have all the features i wanted, so i was thinking, why not build it myself? So to test my skills and get the app I built a Homey app for F1 fans.

edit: the app is live and kickin’

What does it do?

F1 Tracker Pro connects the Formula 1 season to your Homey automations. Dim the lights when the race starts, get a push notification the moment the winner is confirmed, or turn on your espresso machine 30 minutes before qualifying, you get the idea ;-).

Flow triggers

  • Starts in X minutes/hours — for FP1, FP2, FP3, Qualifying, Sprint Qualifying, Sprint and Race

  • Starts now — fires at the exact session start time (with a small grace window)

  • Race finished — fires once the winner is confirmed, with winner_name and winner_constructor tokens

Flow Conditions

  • Race today / sprint weekend / race this week

  • Any session today / session within X time

Flow Actions

  • Get next session / next race details (circuit, country, city, formatted countdown)

  • Driver championship top 2

  • Constructor championship top 2

Dashboard widgets (7 included)

  • Flip-clock countdown to the next race

  • Full season calendar with gold/silver/bronze podium badges per race

  • Driver and constructor championship standings

  • Visual podium widgets showing the top 3 drivers and constructors

  • upcoming weekend schedule with live indicator

How to enjoy:
Install from the App Store

Any feedback is welcome, keep suggestions coming.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hello Mark, Could you please have a look at the schedule widget. Completely white for me. Thanks

That’s odd, will check and let you know.

For me it’s showing the Miami gp. Can’t find the svg for the circuit though.

Good morning!
I have published an update to test, also to fix the circuit SVG’s. Could you check on your end if this update fixes your issue? (i cant test it myself since i dont have the issue).
Let me know if it fixed it i can apply for review!

it should be version 1.2.4 - you can find it here

Same issue

Ahh okay, i see the issue, this is a light-mode thing, the font color isnt correct. thanks, will fix this. I run the homey app in dark mode always

Try updating to 1.2.5, i just checked it myself and it should be visible in lightmode now, sorry and thanks for the feedback.

good now, thank you

Hi Mark.

Amazing app, I love it.

Is it possible to have a flow added, that fires when a session has ended? Maybe 2 actually, 1 for Any session ended, and 1 for Race has ended?

And is it possible to have a widget, with Results for Qualifying, and also for Sprint Race?

It’s a lot im asking, but i have a special Dashboard, just for formula 1, and I’m using your app to trigger events in my home, but it would be cool to have the above mentioned :folded_hands:

Hey Nasty,

Thanks for using and loving the app! means a lot.

As for your requests, race ended is already there! “A race has finished”. Be advised tho, its the original planning when it fires, the Api doesn’t update on the fly for example when there is a red flag and the race is extended, or when the weather causes the race to start later or something. This also happens for when a race/session starts sadly.

I will add the session ended, will also look if there is a way to get the update end/start time when something happens to change those times.

So for the results, would you want this for all year long and have a full report on that, or just last race/quali and reset on the next race? Just to make sure you know, the full calendar thats already there does show the winner of the sprint.

Let me know and I will see what I can do!
Keep the suggestions coming, we can make it better together.

Have a great day and thanks again.

Hi.

Hreat reply, thanks.

The qual is only for the current race/session, and just reset after each race. Its so i can get them send on a external screen and I have no use for them after the race has finished.

Thanks again for your amazing work!
