# \[APP\]\[DEV\]\[PRO\] Octopus Energy Integration

## A Picture Is Worth…

The interaction between the Tariff, Dispatches, Devices and Events fired by the Homey devices is pretty complicated. I thought a picture might help - so here’s an attempt.

### Notes

1. There is no _Pricing Quartile Change_ event at 16:00. The price paid by the consumer remains at the _Low Tariff_ because the _Extended Dispatch_ is already in force.
2. _In Dispatch_ events are fired by the _SmartEnergyDevice_ device at the start and end of the _Planned Dispatch._
3. _Dispatch Pricing_ events are fired by the _EnergyAccount_ device at the start and end of the _Extended Dispatch._
4. There is an additional _Pricing Quartile Change_ event at 18:30. The price paid by the consumer changes to the _High Tariff_ at the end of the dispatch.
5. At 19:00 a _Pricing Quartile Change_ event is signalled because of the normal change in the _Tariff Price_.
