I don’t know exactly which are missing now, there where a few more. The one’s that were in my flow had something to do with battery level/state.

Also the “… is off” card is gone. Now it is set by using the “… is on” card and than reverse it. But in the IF cards this are still separate cards, so it’s a bit inconsistent.

Check the info from the developer a few posts up on the latest version 1.19.1:

So I should make a separate flow and set a variable for battery state?

Is there a way to detect in a flow that a sensor is not responding? I have some motorized devices that depend on the door/window sensors being closed.

What are the store guidelines on braking changes? I think the advice for user should be not to enable “auto update”, as flows stop working out of nowhere.

This is the default behavior (from Homey and independent of any app update of this app)… In the flow manager you can invert the card to “… Is off”

We’re always trying to minimize the amount of breaking changes, by using migration paths where possible (and provided by Homey’s SDK).

> @TedTolboom **when I have set temps 2 degrees below intended**. Did you try to set the valve to a temp and check that it closes at the set temp with zigbee (literally listen to the radiator and check valve status % in Homey in all its pure madness)? My hypothesis is that it will close at a temp which is about two degrees above the set temp, which is absolutely not fine as the room will be overheated and that Homey/the current Homey Aqara app will report that heating stopped way before it did. I am very happy to be proved wrong on this.

I’m running additional tests based on your report. Can you provide more information on the settings applied? Using the thermostats internal sensor or external sensor? Provided a temperature offset or not?

I do see a omission in the thermostat driver that the temperature offset is only affecting the temperature value displayed at Homey (not on the device itself). Working to implement that to the thermostat device side in an update.

@Trond_Nordfjaern please could you also answer my question about how you are measuring the room temperature to prove the W600 thermostat is opening/closing at the wrong temperature.

It is important to stress that TRV’s only measure the temperature at the location and height level in the room where they are installed… and that different locations and heights within the same room will be at different temperatures due to convection and radiant heat from different sources like radiators, windows etc.

Also, that all thermostats (no matter the brand) have an operating range… by which I mean they will turn on for example 1°C below set point, and off 1°C above set point, to prevent flip-flopping on/off/on/off in quick succession possibly damaging them. And that all brands will work slightly differently, and take some adjusting to.

Thank you for the reply. I think this is entirely unrelated to offset. The valves systematically heat up to two degrees more than the set point. I run with interal temp sensor. No offset set at the time being (0). Zigbee mode. Mostly standard settings except a couple of flipped displays. The temperature is measured by the internal W600 themselves. I also observe that Homey stops reporting that they heat when they reach the set temp, but as pointed out the valves continue to heat physically on the radiator until they reach 2 degrees above the set temp and then shuts off heating. Yes @Drako74 I think this is related to ‘hysteris’ and to avoid that the valves turn off and on frequently. But it is way too agressive when it heats the rooms 2 degrees more than intention. For the time being I have set all flows so that they set 2 degrees less than the temp I want. A weird solution, but it is going to work out 🙂

Version 1.92.2 is just released to the test environment.

> ## Aqara v1.19.2

>
> **⚠ Thermostats: temperature offset replaced by temperature calibration**
>
> - **Radiator thermostat W600 and Floor heating thermostat W500:** the _temperature offset_ setting (which only changed the temperature shown in Homey) is replaced by _Thermostat temperature calibration_ (-5 to 5 °C). The value is stored in the thermostat and also corrects the regulation: e.g. -2 when the thermostat measures 2 °C too high. _Please set it once after updating_, the old offset is not taken over.
> - **Thermostat radiator valve E1:** the temperature offset setting is removed.
>
> **—**

> - **Radiator thermostat W600:**
> - Homey now shows whether the thermostat is **heating** (based on the valve position).
> - With an **external sensor** the W600 shows the external temperature, but its valve keeps regulating on its internal sensor. This is how the thermostat firmware works (also with the Aqara hub). Investigating this further. Thanks to @Trond_Nordfjaern for the detailed report!
> - **Climate sensor W100:** clearer setting hints.

You should possibly consider getting some Aqara Temperature and Humidity sensors, that you can place in the location within the room you occupy most. You can then link them to the W600 TRVs and control the room temperature far more accurately to your liking with Advanced Flows that use both temperature readings. (I use the temperature sensor within the Aqara FP300 at ceiling height, averaged with the TRV temperature sensor at about ankle height… and control the heat on/off from that… gets the most stable and consistent room temperature that way)

Sounds terrific! Thank you for a very rapid update. I will get to test it, might not be today as I am a bit busy. Sounds like a great solution, without generating regressions for those who have the valves working as intended.

About my question to detect if a device is responsive/online are there ways to detect this?

So when a window was closed when the sensor goes offline and than the window is opened, the flow doesn’t know the window is open. I want to prevent it from executing.

I would like to point out the fact that the location of a TRV is actually the absolute worst location within a room to measure its temperature. They are usually (at least here in the UK) located at skirting board height, and attached to the end of the device radiating heat in to your room and creating the most severe convection currents of air within your room. So the location within your room that has the wildest temperature swings possible.

If you read the Aqara website page for the W600 TRV it does mention connecting external temperature sensors for more accurate temperature control. This is to limit the inherent failures of measuring temperature adjacent to the heat source.

It’s just physics 😁

I’m experiencing an issue with one of my Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 devices connected to Homey Pro (2023).

**Problem:**
The reported position randomly changes from 100% (fully open) to 0% (fully closed), while the blind itself does not physically move.

This happens repeatedly, sometimes within minutes, at completely random intervals.

**What I’ve checked and tried:**

- Other Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 devices connected to the same Homey Pro work correctly.
- A test Flow confirms that Homey registers these position changes.
- The regular automation Flows do not appear to trigger these events.
- Disabling Reverse Direction initially seemed to solve the problem, but the issue returned after a few days.
- Restarting the Homey Aqara app only provided temporary relief.
- Motor speed is set to High, identical to the other devices.
- No physical movement occurs when the incorrect position is reported.

**Question:**
Is this a known issue with the Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 or the Homey Aqara app? Could it be caused by incorrect Zigbee position reports or how the app processes them?

I can provide an app diagnostics report if needed.

Agree, albeit it helps somewhat that I have horizontal and not vertical mounts. At the moment it is not that bad and corresponds relatively well with a cheap non-smart temperature measure located a bit further up (the latter naturally reports higher temp since it is closer to ceiling). Though I suspect that it may be related to that the valves do not heat much at the moment (we have whoopping 8 degrees today). Anyway, just very glad that it seems like I can keep these valves after all, and not return to the Netatmo cloud. Plenty of thanks to the community here for your responses to the matter and to @TedTolboom for a rapid new test version of the app. It is really helpful and highly appreciated!

@TedTolboom since the Aqara 1.19.1 update, and the Homey 13.5.2 update, none of my Aqara devices are reporting their status (all sensors say “a day ago” for all values), and effectively, “nothing works.”

I can manually trigger flows, but nothing automated works. The FP300 won’t detect any motions (so my bulbs won’t turn on), the W100 won’t report temps (so the air-conditioning won’t kick on), et cetera.

The Homey and Aqara hub have both been rebooted. Everything worked relatively well before these updates. I’m not sure what’s causing the issues here. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you tried running a Repair on any of the devices?

And then follow the on screen instructions.

You could also provide the app developer with a Diagnostics Report by going to the Homey mobile app settings, Apps, go to the Aqara app, and tap the gear ⚙ icon top right and select the diagnostic report button. Then copy and paste the report ID string here so the developer has some information to go off.

Not sure if this is your app diagnostics report (referred to W100 and FP300’s)…
Somehow the Zigbee chip is is not fully started / experiencing issues, which is blocking the Aqara app to load / initialize properly.

```auto
Zigbee is starting. Please wait a minute and try again.
```

Note: Zigbee chip / core is outside control of the Aqara app.

As mentioned, can you power cycle Homey (few minutes off power), then let it start-up for 20-30 minutes. Then restart the Aqara app.
