@robertklep

I have a question about my newly installed Aqara FP1E presence sensor.

It does not work consistently. It either does nothing when i walk past or toward it and suddenly it does but takes a long time to stop again. I have tried the low setting and medium setting but nothing seems to work. I see that it measures the distance to me but does not say movement or occupancy.

No, we don’t need a local backup anywhere in the process. A backup is only needed as safety net, in case something goes wrong.:

This was succesfully tested by 2 volunteers, as mentioned in that post.

That’s description is just not true! Maybe they try to scare folks to keep them for installing experimental updates ‘just for fun’, I don’t know.
Because of the time of writing that ‘guide’ it was before 2020, and with a Pro 2016-2019 you’ll need to restart to recovery mode and restore a backup. Even then a factory reset was not part of the procedure..

The [procedures I wrote, for both pre- and post 2020 models](https://community.homey.app/t/howto-pro-2023-mini-revert-from-experimental-to-stable-firmware/100752), were tested by two volunteers with a Pro 2023 at the time of writing, and by me in the meantime, since last december.

hi @TedTolboom i purchased 3 Xiaomi Honeywell smoke sensors from Aliexpress, but am unable to connect them to your app / to Homey Pro. After clicking 3 times on the button, it simply does not proceed with the procedure. Is it perhaps because they are the chinese versions? Or doesn’t that matter?

@all Is there anyone else who might be able to say something about this perhaps?

EDIT: looks like I’ve found the issue. These smoke detectors are Bluetooth, not Zigbee! Apparantely they come in 2 versions (looking exactly similar), and Aliexpress only sells the Bluetooth version.

Hi!
Been trying to add the vibration sensor to Homey for a while and can’t get it working. The device shows up but is added as a generic Zigbee-device. When looking further into it the device ID does not match the one from the supported devices list (lumi-vibration.agl01 vs lumi.vibration.aq1).
Is there a fix to this or will the sensor need to be added?
Please see screenshot for more details

Could it be that you have the T1 version of the vibration sensor? If so:

Hi everyone,

I have an Aqara E1 Wireless Switch (WXKG16LM). When I pair it with Homey, it gets detected only as “Unknown Zigbee Device”. The device shows battery information, but there are no button press capabilities, no flow cards, and no button events available.

Interestingly, pressing the button still turns Zigbee lights on/off, so the switch seems to be working on the Zigbee network.

Is there any way to add this model to the supported devices.

- Manufacturer: LUMI
- Product ID lumi.remote.acn003
- Device type enddevice
- Device ID 54:ef:44:10:01:5b:c0:b1

Thank you!

Denys

In general I am very happy with the app and the sensors.
I have quite many Aqara sensors - Door/window as well as Temperature/Humidity and Motion sensors. Some every now and then leave the network but can easily be “repaired”.

However recently both my Motion P1 and my Temp/Humidity T1 stopped reporting values.
When re-pairing/reparing these the behaviour is different:

- the Temp/Humidity T1 seems to reconnect without any issues HOWEVER no value is ever being reported
- the Motion P1 starts to pair after pressing the button, seems to reconnect HOWEVER the blue light continues to flash and after a few seconds the sensor again leaves the network

Behaviour is the same when removing and reconnecting the sensors.
Interestingly both types have been working well.

Any idea?
Thanks!

Any new updates expected? Latest - experimental - update of the app is 1.16.2 from February.

One of my Aqara H2 swithces (single switch) keeps reporting 42 W consumption when off and no load. When I turn off the light, the power drops from 42 W down to zero, but after a while Homey Pro reports 42 W (with lights off) and it keeps this value until next time I turn on the lights. Have tried a lot. Removed from Homey Pro, resetting etc.

I have a similar issue with a Sonoff Zigbee smart plug that has an LED display plugged in to it. When it is switched off it reports 14W in Homey. If I switch it on, it briefly changes to 0W, then after a short while it changes to 15W (the actual expected load). If I switch it off again, after a brief pause it changes back to 14W. I have given up trying to figure it out, as I have tried everything.

I’ve found the energy monitoring within Homey to be quite hit n miss. I have to APC UPSs, both connected to computers running the apcupsd service for monitoring. and both successfully connected to the APC UPS app in Homey. Both report live power consumption (watts) and voltage etc, and both have the “Exclude from Energy” advanced option set to No. But they don’t show up in the device list on the Energy page of the mobile app, despite the device cards showing correct stats. I have a number of different devices that don’t work correctly in some way or other with the energy monitoring… I have searched and searched, tested and tested like crazy, but made no progress and got to the point of CBA

I just bought the Aqara Vibration Sensor T1 thinking it was supported by homey. Turns out only the non-T1 version is supported without a hub.

Will it be supported in the future without a hub? If not, what is the cheapest Aqara hub I can buy that allows me to add it into Homey?

</div>

I made this mistake when I first started down my Aqara route… I have learned to double check in the Homey Aqara app which devices are supported before buying, as there doesn’t seem to be any predictable pattern. Some devices only the T1 version is supported, but the vibration sensor is the opposite. I now have two of the none T1 vibration sensors, and they work great with Homey without an Aqara hub being necessary.

</div>

The cheapest hub they do is a USB stick, and that’s more expensive than a new vibration sensor… the T1 I initially got is sat in a drawer, the two none T1’s I since bought are working splendidly on my Homey’s Zigbee.

I also bought 2 of them. Problem is I can not find the non T1 in my country. I also opened one of them and scratched up the back trying to open the battery compartment, so I don’t think i can return that one. For the other one, the cost of returning it is about the same as the device cost, so there really isn’t a reason to do that. I also really do not want a hub, so I was hoping I could put it in a drawer and wait for support.

I don’t really need the sensors yet as I was hoping to replace my door and window sensors on my garage doors for higher reliability. And they work fine during summer, it’s in winter time when snow gets under the gate they don’t always line up.

Is the H2 wall outlet UK ( [Aqara Wall Outlet H2 UK (Dual USB-C) - Aqara UK Shop](https://www.aqara-shop.co.uk/product/aqara-wall-outlet-h2-uk-dual-usb-c/) ) already supported in Homey? The EU version is listed, but not specifically the UK version. The webpage linked shows Homey in the product images (although the image shows a single usb model where the product is billed as dual usb).

If it isn’t yet supported, please can it be added.

Thanks.

No, not yet supported. It might add as Generic Zigbee device but you’ll only be able to control both outlets together, not individually. Other features definitely won’t be supported by Generic device either. So them showing it as compatible with Homey is a bit misleading, since many features won’t be available without support.
