# Anyone Using Zigbee Retrofit Blinds on Homey? Here’s Our Zemismart ZMP1 Test

We’ve been testing the **Zemismart ZMP1 Zigbee Roller Shade Driver** in a **Homey Zigbee environment (Homey Pro)** and wanted to share some practical integration notes for anyone working with smart shading setups.
This is a Zigbee-based retrofit motor designed to convert existing roller blinds into position-controlled smart shades.
## 🔗 Pairing & Basic Control (Homey Zigbee)
Device pairs as a standard Zigbee endpoint and exposes **position control (0–100%)** in Homey.
Once added, Homey provides:
- Percentage-based blind position control
- Scene / flow integration (open, close, set position)
- Basic state feedback

## ⚙ Configuration / Calibration Behavior
In practice, configuration is handled through device settings exposed after pairing.
Observed controllable parameters include:
- Travel limit calibration (upper / lower endpoints)
- Motor direction inversion (useful depending on installation orientation)
- Position alignment adjustment after full calibration

## 🔋 Battery Reporting
Battery status is exposed as a standard Zigbee attribute and is visible inside Homey device settings.
- Battery level reporting works in percentage format
- Suitable for automation (low battery notification flows)

Hi Zemismart, I have 6 of your ZM25Z chain motors and they work great, been using them for a few years.
Would it be possible to add the same features to the the ZM25Z motors. Like battery monitoring and 1 tap open and close.?
Would that be possible?

Your requirement is that this motor can be connected to Homey, but you also want to add battery monitoring and a one-touch switch code that can be viewed in the Homey app.

I’m curious how you’ve managed to integrate the Smart Roller Shade Driver into Homey so far, since it wasn’t even supported by the Zemismart app yet. Maybe through one of the Homey Tuya apps?
If that is the case, you will need to delete the SRSD from Homey and add it again from scratch using the Homey Zemismart app. All the flows would then have to be repaired as well.

Before you do anything, please let us know how you currently have the SRSD paired with Homey.

Hi, yeah I have the current chain motors linked above connected through the zemismart app currently and they work fine (been using them for over a year and work perfectly) but only basic functionality. It seems they are paired as a roller shade motor rather than chain motor.
Ill delete them and try and re-add then using the zemismart app.

No, don’t delete them, pls.
Install the latest test version of the Zemismart app → [Zemismart | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.zemismart.iot/test/)
After that, try to “Repair” your devices. This means that the devices essentially go through the same process as if they were being added for the first time, but without having to delete them first.
If this doesn’t add the new features, you’ll probably have no choice but to delete the devices and add them all over again.

Just coming back to this, I notice with my blinds using this new driver the close/open % is reversed. So 100% Will be closed in homey and 0% will be open. The open and close function works correctly but not the position.
Ive tried the reverse motor option in the settings but that doesn’t work.
Is this a Bug as I have a couple of other Tuya blind motors which work correctly and the previous driver from yourself worked ok.

Those probably use the regular Tuya app (WiFi), right? This one uses a customized Zigbee driver included in the Zemismart Homey app.
As far as I know, the Zemismart Zigbee devices are also compatible with Tuya, so all you would need is a Tuya Zigbee or MultiMode gateway and then you can also add them to the Tuya Homey app
