Momenteel heb ik een aantal ESP8266 die ik in homey aanstuur met http requests. Dit werkt goed, doch ik wil weg van de wifi. Waarom? Als er een stroomonderbreking is, dan is het mogelijk dat mijn esp een ander ip adres krijgt en dan werkt uiteraard mijn http request niet meer. Ik zou adres reservering kunnen doen op mijn router maar ook dat wordt (waarom ook) soms gereset. Alleszins, ik ben op zoek naar een alternatief voor de ESP8266, maar dan met zoiets als zigbee, zwave… Alvast bedankt voor jullie hulp. ---

Maar dit hoort natuurlijk nooit zomaar gereset te worden. De enige reden die ik kan verzinnen is een firmware update, welke je modem weer op fabrieksinstellingen terugzet. In principe zouden updates moeten worden aangekondigd door je provider. Ik heb het iig nog niet mee mogen maken dat mijn DHCP reserveringen waren verdwenen. Een eigen DHCP server gaan gebruiken is mss ook een optie. Backup: Ik maak regelmatig screenshots van instellingen als DHCP. Soms kun je de config als bestand downloaden als backup. Tip, er bestaat ook een ESPHome app voor Homey ---

Een alternatief voor de ESP8266 kan zijn de ESP32C6, deze kan gebruikt worden voor zelf Zigbee apparaten te maken. Maar alles dat je zelf maakt is niet gecertificeerd. Het gaat niet om de hardware maar om de Matter implementatie. ---

Gecertificeerd als platform, maar dat is pas één van de eerste stappen van het certificatieproces. Maar anders maak je gewoon iets leuks en probeer je het met Homey uit, als het toch niet blijkt te werken kun je altijd overwegen om over te stappen naar een systeem dat niet zo moeilijk doet. ---

Inderdaad … heb me ondertussen eentje besteld 😀. Als dat zou lukken, zou het wel fantastisch zijn. Nu doe ik het via wifi, doch zoals aangehaald ben ik niet zo een fan van wifi. Alvast bedankt voor jullie hulp !!! ---
