I had a short power failure and noticed that my aqara switch was no longer working afterwards. Although the switch was still showing OK in the app (I could switch it on/off) it was no longer switching on the lights.

Turns out the advanced flows I had created were broken. The cards that were related to the switch were grayed out and showed as unavailable.

Anything I can do to avoid this in the future?

If cards are greyed out, next to ‘crashed’, often the app just stopped, or errored.
This is not regarded as ‘crashed’, so you can’t create a flow like:
When…
-app X crashed
Then…
-restart app X
-send a timeline note about this

You’ll need this card, it checks for unavailable devices:

With this card you can restart app X

Thanks, appreciate the reply.
I found the app and installed it.
So I suppose you created some kind of flow that every X mintues/hours checks for apps that are stopped and then restarts them?

YW!
This trigger card triggers a flow when device X, or _some_ device of app Y becomes unavailable.
You only have to add a Then card which restart the related app.

I add a 15 minute timer though, to prevent restart loops.

Example:
