# Add Thread device to Homey acting as Thread Border Router

Reading back [a previous comment I made](https://community.homey.app/t/how-to-pair-thread-device-with-latest-firmware/100766/11), apparently there are Thread devices that only support HomeKit, and not Matter. It sounds like your device is one of those.
