Hi, I have Homey v1 with 5.0.0-tc.38 and iOS app version 6.1.0.633 where I am trying hard in last 3 days to add a new user into my family list. I tried in 3 different iPads and iPhones without a success! Any workaround for this ? Thanks, ---

1. Add a new user to Homey To grant access to your Homey to another user, open the Homey app and navigate to Settings. In the settings, click on Family. Then click on the [+] symbol in the top right corner. Here you will see the option Create shareable link, click on this to create a link that you can send via Whatsapp, e-mail or SMS to the user who would like to give you access to your Homey. ---

I create a new user and login to iOS app and then I create a invitation link from other iPhone where I a admin and that link is not working at the 1st iPhone where the new user is created. When I click the link it opens the Homey iOS app but is not adding the Homey. S, ---

I have the same problem with trying to invite a family member on their iOS device. Sharing a link as per the support doc prompts the family member to download the Homey app but then nothing happens after selecting accept. There is no prompt to connect to a Homey, there is just the login screen. ![IMG_0001.PNG](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/7/3/7310501efecdf25ac9f12d33d74198a17610c16c.jpeg) Doesn’t make any difference if the family member is logged in to their Athom account (which has been verified) or not. ---

Suddenly 2 days later the invite came through and is working fine. /shrug ---

This is exactly what is happening to me. Wife installed app, created an account. I then create an invite and send it to her in text message (also tried AirDrop), she taps the link and it opens the app but nothing else happens… she is not added. ---

Same happened to me with Homey Pro when inviting my wife as a new user (has iPhone 15 Pro with latest iOS). Click on the invitation message that opens the Homey app. Nothing happens and app just times out. Is there a fix?? ---

Hello, similar issue here I’m trying to add my wife. 1°) I go to “family & guests” 2°) add a new resident (I does not ask for any name or email of the resident) 3°) I share the invite through Airdrop (I tried email with same result) 4°) After I have installed the Homey App on the Iphone of my wife and accepted the link: it only shows the Homey app login screen, asking if I want to create an account or login. I don’t know what to do here since no account has been created I cannot login, and if I create a new account I am worried this will use consume the email of my wife… EDIT: I just through the account creation, then the invite link is used automatically, but if you don’t do this you cannot guess HOMEY, please improve this process, it is NOT intuitive at all. I guess you could simply ask for the email of the new user upon invite request, and then simply ask the new user to set up his password ---

FAMILY AND FRIENDS Same with my Homey Pro, family (wife) just gets link to the logon site. NOT WORKING ---

It depends on the scenario / automation you want to do but 90% of the time I would go with separate accounts, each with their own email address. ---

1. For the Guest user: go to [Homey Account](https://accounts.athom.com/signup) and make an account (Email + Password) : one for every guest user. 2. Guest User: install Homey Pro app, and log in using the account (you made at step 1). Do nothing else in the App. 3. Homey Admin: make an invitation ( [https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360012615814-Adding-managing-removing-user-accounts-on-Homey](https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360012615814-Adding-managing-removing-user-accounts-on-Homey) ) and send it to new guest user (e.g. via WhatsApp). This link works for every new guest user. 4. Guest User: Click on the link and the Homey App will open, asking you to accept the invitation. That’s all. Now, Homey people: was that so hard to describe ?? The Homey Admin will see that the guest is added and (can be) active. ---
